The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is an essential pathway to Canada Permanent Residence. It allows Canadian provinces and territories to nominate skilled immigrants who meet their specific economic and labour market needs. Each province and territory operates its own Provincial Nominee Program, except Quebec and Nunavut, which follow separate immigration systems. Most Provincial Nominee Programs include at least one immigration stream aligned with the Federal Express Entry system.

These aligned streams are known as Enhanced Nomination Streams. Candidates who receive a nomination certificate from a province under these streams get an additional 600 points added to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This massive boost almost guarantees an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in the next Express Entry draw.
