  • Medical consultation or treatment.

In certain situations, eligible applicants may also qualify under other health-related circumstances specified by the Australian Government.


Investor Retirement Visa – Subclass 405

The Investor Retirement Visa (Subclass 405) was created for eligible self-funded retirees wishing to spend their retirement in Australia.

Historically, applicants were generally required to:

  • Be 55 years of age or older.

  • Have sufficient financial resources.

  • Meet long-term investment requirements.

  • Have no dependent children (other than an eligible partner).

Note: This visa category has been closed to new applications. Existing holders may have different arrangements under Australian immigration regulations.


Visas for New Zealand Citizens and Their Family Members

Special visa arrangements exist for New Zealand citizens and certain eligible family members.

These include:

  • Special Category Visa (Subclass 444) for eligible New Zealand citizens.

Applicants may also qualify if they are joining a ship or aircraft crew.


Bridging Visa

A Bridging Visa allows eligible individuals to remain lawfully in Australia while their immigration status is being resolved or while another visa application is being processed.

Depending on the visa type, a Bridging Visa may allow applicants to:

  • Remain legally in Australia.

  • Work, study, or travel (where permitted).
